Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablet set to be released late January

After disclosing the pricing for their new Surface Pro tablet late last year, Microsoft has kept the exact release date of its new tablet under wraps. Be that as it may, contrary to rumors regarding a CES release date, Microsoft employees at various stores have revealed that Microsoft’s new Surface Pro tablet will be in stores at the end of this month.

The new Surface Pro tablet includes a 1080p high-definition display and Intel Core i5 processor – all for a price that starts at $899. However, what seperates this tablet from Microsoft’s Surface RT tablet is that it runs a full version of Windows 8 as opposed to Windows RT. Originally, Microsoft opened up pre-sales for their Surface RT tablet 10 days before its release in October of last year. If the company continues with this pattern, then there will be an announcement made regarding the new Surface Pro tablet shortly following the conclusion of CES.
