CES 2013: Case-Mate debuts new direction for future of company

Case-Mate has been a pretty well-known case manufacturer for the past couple of years, but starting this year, the company has decided to go in a new direction: fashionable. Fashion seems to be a pretty big player in this year’s CES, but Case-Mate is taking that to heart and is completely revamping their entire product line, moving away from the highly-protective, bulky cases, and moving towards slimmer cases with unique designs.

We got to talk with one of Case-Mate’s PR representatives (through whom we learned that Case-Mate is another local Atlanta business!) and we learned that they decided to go in that direction due to the fact that phone manufacturers are now building protection methods (like Liquipel, Gorilla Glass, etc.) into their actual devices, making the protective cases a bit of a moot point. So now that they don’t have to deal with designing a large, bulky case, they can focus on some pretty unique designs that have genuine pearls, custom designs (like monograms, patterns, etc.), carbon fiber, and more.

Now that we have been able to meet and mingle with the people from the Case-Mate team, we will be bringing you, the TRG readers, all the new products that Case-Mate will have to offer over the next couple of weeks!
