CES 2013: Ballistic Cases demos SG Maxx Series

When people think of protective cases for phones (the iPhone, in particular), OtterBox or LifeProof are usually the first two to come to mind. While these are still very valid options, there are some new players to the game, and Ballistic is making a presence this year with their extreme demos that they are doing. Russ & I were drawn into their booth by the phones literally flying everywhere hitting blocks of cement, into walls, etc. and then the employees would just pick up the phone and start using it like nothing had happened.

We got to meet with their PR team and we were really excited to get our hands on these cases. The SG MAXX series case is one of their newest cases to hit the ever-expanding market of cases for that protect your phone from, well, everything. The SG MAXX case is a three layer protection system that features a hard, outer shell, a soft, silicone, inner shell, and then a screen protector that is specially molded for your device. Also included with the case is a belt clip, similar to the one that OtterBox includes with their products, but it seems very high-quality. Currently, the case is available in several colors for the following devices: Apple iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S III, Motorola Electrify M, Motorola Electrify 2, HTC EVO 4G LTE, Apple iPhone 4/4S, HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, HTC 8X, Samsung Galaxy Express, and the Motorola Atrix HD. Ballistic also has plans to release one for the HTC Droid DNA.

The team got our hands on a couple of the new Ballistic cases, and we will publish our thoughts in a full, comprehensive review after CES concludes!
