Many tech enthusiasts like to put together what they “think” will be Apple’s next big hit. This week has been no exception for this, as there are many rumors flying around that Apple might be releasing some “interesting” products as 2011 unfolds. (To say the least)
So first of all, We’ll dive into the iPad 2 speculation. Obviously we all know what the iPad 2 is rumored to have: Front facing camera, possibly a better screen display, and an sd card slot. Sources believe that Apple will hold a press event sometime in March for the announcement of the iPad 2. However nothing has been confirmed yet by Apple.
Another thing I found interesting this week was the concept of a “Mini” iPhone coming to the market. Bloomberg reports that they know sources who have a prototype iPhone mini. This seems interesting, as I believe its main purpose it to compete with the large volume of “mini” android devices hitting the market. If this phone was to be released, it would most likely be the same price as the iPhone 4, but off contract. It would certainly be a big attraction for AT&T and Verizon users who don’t want to spend a big amount of money per month for a smartphone.
Something else that’s out-of-the-blue is rumors for an iPad 3…wait is that iPad 3 I just said?!
Yes, its a rumor that after HP releases their HP TouchPad in the Fall, Apple might go off and announce a third-generation iPad. Just as a slap in the face. (Which Apple is usually good at.) This could be why Apple is keeping a few features from the iPad 2. Or, to make things a bit easier, Apple might save the iPad 2 for a fall release. Nevertheless, I believe Apple will very soon announce the next iPad, and give us fanboys a sneak peak.
So, what is your opinions on this? What do you want to see in the next iPad? What are your opinions on the iPhone mini?
