The WWDC keynote introduced us to several new Apple products, including new MacBook Airs, iOS 6, new features in OS X Mountain Lion, and finally the new generation of MacBook Pros that are fully outfitted with Retina Displays. It features a beautiful 2880×1800 Retina Display that is housed in a casing that is just 0.71″ thick (or should I say thin?) and it only weights 4.46lbs. The new notebook features updated stock apps to fully display the beautiful Retina Display. Apple has also updated Aperture & Final Cut Pro to become Retina-ready.

Apple has said that the new MacBook Pros are capable of running for 7 hours straight & 30 hours of standby. The new notebooks also feature 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA GT 650M graphics, a quad-core 2.7GHz Intel Core i7 processor, a 768GB SSD storage. One thing the new laptop does not feature? An optical drive. You also will not find Ethernet or FireWire 800 ports, instead you’ll find 2 Thunderbolt ports, a thinner MagSafe port, and a new cooling fan that is supposedly extremely hard to hear.

The pricing is pretty steep with a starting price of $2,199 for a 2.3GHz i7 processor & only 8GB of RAM.

Stay tuned to TRG for more WWDC coverage.
